The Society of Animal Artists Grand Opening of Art and the Animal National Museum Tour

The Society of Animal Artists is the world’s most celebrated collection of painters & sculptors who focus their artistic genius on birds & animals of the natural world.


And their annual Fine Art Exhibition – Art and the Animal – is the the world’s oldest and most prestigious exhibition of its kind. This year it opened at the Blauvelt Museum, in Oradell - New Jersey and then it travels to 4 additional museums over this coming year.


David has been a Signature Member as well as Board Member since 1990. And his artwork this year, “Meerkat Radar”, features 3 Meerkats on vigilant look out for hawks & eagles.

THE NATURE OF ART: An Invitational Exhibition

Artists from diverse backgrounds present their own interpretations of the universal beauty of nature.


David was one of only a few artists invited to exhibit in this exhibition. If you are in the region of Midland, Michigan, you might want to check out this great museum. Tubac is a tiny western town in Southern, Arizona an hour or so south of Tucson. And this new little gallery is specializing in small works of art...

in the 5” x 7” - 8* x 10” range.

And although David paints mostly wildlife subjects, he also paints a lot of very pure landscapes. In this gallery you will find a number of his small landscapes of the American West.

And this marks only the 2nd time that he has exhibited his very large original paintings that he created for the gigantic Watercolor Murals that he then used to create the murals for Forest City in the Old Halle Building.

David’s Meerkats are going to see America...


David’s painting Meerkat Radar; which is presently on exhibit at the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum in Oradell, New Jersey... as part of the celebrated Art and the Animal Exhibition... was also selected to be part of the Society of Animal Artists National Museum Tour.


David is delighted and honored to have his painting selected for this very prestigious National Museum Tour.
